At Raedan, we’re not your run-of-the-mill number crunchers. We’re on a mission to take the stuffiness out of accounting and help creatives reach new heights in their business by taking care of all that “boring financial stuff”.

We deliver top-tier financial support through our accounting expertise, while injecting a healthy dose of fun into everything we do. You may know us as accountants for creative agencies but you probably do not know the faces behind the numbers?

So, what better way to get to know us than by shining the spotlight on one of our fab team members?

This week in the hot seat is Rommel, our incredible client assistant at Raedan. He’s the one that makes sure our clients’ business accounts are in better shape than Chris Hemsworth’s personal trainer.

We decided to ask Rommel a few questions so you can get to know a little bit more about who we are and what we do.

Give us background on your experience, how you came to be at Raedan and a bit of your role

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy in the Philippines where I became knowledgeable about UK accounts and Xero accounting software. I accepted the role of client assistant with Raedan as I knew that the team could help me with my growth and experience as an accountant. My main role is to assist clients and keep their business accounts up-to-date. I am very happy with my role and every time I answer queries and meet client deadlines it feels like a homerun.

What do you love most about working for Raedan?

The thing I love most about working with Raedan is that they stay true to their company values of respect, curiosity, inspiring change and joy. I feel respected and valued for what I bring to the team and to our clients. The team is always on hand to help each other achieve our common goal – providing great work and great service to our clients.

Raedan makes me feel like a part of the family. It’s enjoyable to work with people who are passionate about their job, supportive of your goals, and pleased with both your professional and personal successes.

Why do you think it’s important for creative businesses to get help from accounting agencies like us?

Accounting agencies play an important role for creative businesses since they ensure business operations run smoothly. People choose us because we know how to handle our clients’ finances so they can reach their business goals.

Hiring an accounting agency like us saves time and effort. We keep track of your cash flows, balance sheet, ensure that your financial reports are accurate and comprehensive, and we can help with payroll and create a trustworthy income projection as well.

What is your favourite thing about working with creative clients?

My favourite thing about working with our creative clients is that I connect with new people and become part of their business growth. I love working with all my clients and building strong relationships with them, which in turn helps me produce quality work.

Some people have failed to shake the cliché that accountants are a group of boring old bean counters. Give us a fun fact about yourself to help prove them wrong.

Besides being an accountant there’s a lot of things I like to do. I’m a big party-goer. I like hanging out with my friends, exploring new places and meeting new people. I also like to cook, especially for my loved ones.

I cannot blame people for that cliché because even my friends didn’t expect me to be an accountant. They always tell me ‘Why did you become an accountant, it doesn’t suit you’. I think it changed their perspective about accountants – that we can be as interesting and funny as everyone else.

So there you have it!  Rommel’s answers to our burning questions. Now you can (hopefully) open your eyes to the idea that accountants are not all buttoned-up bores. We handle the nitty-gritty of our clients finances, so they have the freedom to focus on the more creative side of their business.

Rest assured that your financial matters are in safe hands when you work with us. As Xero accounting experts we understand what’s important to your creative business, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.
